We're stirring the pot in this episode as we pit Jack against Liam in a lively discussion about their golfing skills. Can you guess who has the better mentality on the course? Hear Jack share his best round off whites, his self-proclaimed 'flare', and his gripping tale of trumping Liam in an 8 hole match play that meant literally nothing. We also delve into Ryder Cup team selections, challenging the duo to a quiz. Who do you think will buy the other a pint after the quiz? Get ready to engage, laugh, and learn!

The conversation takes another interesting turn as we navigate the fall out surrounding Brooks Kopek & Matthew Wolff.  Should he have been publicly called out? Hear us out as we make our predictions for the upcoming golf.

Speaker 1:

three do you genuinely not? Please don't lie, okay, okay, do you genuinely think you're gonna be the star of our Texas scramble team this year? Yes, oh, yes, I really do. I'm ready. Don't shit yourself, jack. Right, episode five yes, I missed the last one. I'm gonna touch on that in a second. Now, josh, I've got a few things that I just want to recap on, because you did get away with not having me there. But before that, we're joined with our least liked brother, mum and dad's favorite, definitely the coquiest, biggest ego, biggest ego, this endless, really it. Don't want to keep going on about it, but most chance those chains?

Speaker 1:

yeah, did you do yourself, jack don't need no introduction I'm the main guy. I run this family. Basically, yeah, what in which way? Whatever way you want, I'm flexible. He's a stereotypical youngest child. He gets away with murder. He is the more I would say.

Speaker 1:

I would definitely call Jack spoil yeah what annoys me is he is the least deserved of his quality of golf does. Deserved he's the least deserved of his golf stability isn't have a golf ability me. He's a good player. He's a good player out jock, and yeah, I'm gonna come on here for you guys to lick my ass in the corner somewhere.

Speaker 1:

I know it's hard to get a word in entries when he does talk, but in the corner somewhere is Liam. I like this lie. That's it. I thought he's frozen because he's not speaking. Yeah, liam's got a half evening. Fellas evening biffed my seat talking for change, lad. Yeah, we've had we've had feedback.

Speaker 1:

I've spoken more on this podcast already than you have in the first four. Okay, are you gonna cut across often? No, yeah, if you do, jackie, gonna come a better ban than that without a shock in carry on dressed? Okay, right, josh? I want to touch on the last episode, mate, so obviously I was nervous anyway, leaving you to record the podcast without me for the first time ever. Want to go and revisit some of the things you said? You're right with that, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Number one what did you mean by flangella fever? I'm not gonna comment or speculate on that. I think it's very I think it's easily it's a very derivative statement. Am I right to say that? Liam? Does that make sense?

Speaker 2:

no, it makes absolutely no sense at all. He said I think what do?

Speaker 1:

you mean by? I think everyone knows what I mean when I said that you had the bad case of flangella fever. I think it's very selfish, voluntary. What do you think, joe?

Speaker 2:

I think it's quite, I think it's quite sexist.

Speaker 1:

I'm bang out of order you know it is, you know it was a fact.

Speaker 2:

That's what he came down with just to apologize on the podcast to me to me listeners no to me.

Speaker 1:

I'm not gonna apologize to female. I will not apologize. Tristan has wasn't so much flangella fever, it was the. It was the lack of bollocks he had to make to make his priorities work. That's it. That's all I comment on it okay.

Speaker 1:

I think you need to apologize to me what they're not coming on. Oh, because I've done everything for you. I wrote yeah, I did, I, I gave you the whole agenda. No, yeah, well, you know I don't prove it. Oh, it's on the screen, it's right. No one sees the screen. And that's for this week as well. I carried episode I am on my shoulder last week that you would be able to write a record, your own episode. I don't think they do. You see, that's the thing. That's. This was you, me. You're regimented. Yeah, it's got to be scheduled. I'm I'm like water mate, I'm like Bruce Lee water becomes the cup, it becomes the teapot, it becomes what evident needs to become. I'm easy going, I flow with the flow and I make things happens that way.

Speaker 1:

Same one golf game, so right, number two. We were listening to the podcast and you said you gotta have you. At one point you said you've got to go on date nights with your golf game. So when you don't feel like you love it, you've got to put that love in. Yeah, honestly, I swear you can ask. Her said you made her feel sick when you said that. Okay, that's not the first time I've made just real sick, no doubt about. So my question is what? What about that made just and maybe any other listeners feel sick? It's the truth. I think they were overwhelmed with cringe and they were like that's a weird thing to say no, it's. It's weird for those who don't put the work into the golf game and then they don't see the results. On weekends. I put the work in and I see the results on weekends, do you mean what?

Speaker 1:

what is date night with the golf game, chipping, putting sitting on the sitting on the button of the club? I don't know. Whatever you want it to be, whatever you want it to be, date night can be that driving range trackman session, whatever you want it to be, that's a date night. Yeah, you right, it doesn't always work. Wait, please don't comment on your golf game, because we're gonna get to that. Don't worry about it, okay. Three Do you genuinely not? Please don't lie, okay, okay. Do you genuinely think you're gonna be the star of our Texas scramble team this year? Yes, oh, yes, I really do.

Speaker 2:

I'm not because of noise.

Speaker 1:

You, eddie, and Yolo. Yolo, by the way. Island Games champion, yeah, shout out Yolo. Yeah. And going to be a Texas scramble champion? You think you're gonna star in that team? Yes, to my handicap. Yeah, I'm gonna bring far more to the table. You're getting a bargain for my shots.

Speaker 2:

Do you have anything you're doing is giving shots, literally, but I love to provide. No, it's a three man Texas scramble team.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely not. I did it last time. Hold the putts, made clutch up and downs, hit some great tee shots and great approach shots. You didn't make a clutch up and downs, well no, it's hard to do that in Texas scramble, I suppose but I made clutch putts and drives. I don't lie. That's why Point number four yeah, and before you respond to me, I want to play something. Okay, 17 points in your last game of golf. 17 points in your last game of golf. Yeah, I genuinely think that the listeners deserve a breakdown, so don't respond until I play this on the podcast. Now we have a brothers chat Me and Liam, josh and Jack. And Liam said Liam put on the chat. 17 points, josh, what the fuck? Yeah, and I don't know if you've had a beer or not, but this was your response.

Speaker 1:

On the first, I top the drive and then doff to the iron row. Second, left, later hit wedge to the right. Second, to putt. Third, I played them outright. Oh no, it just ended up to the right. Didn't make a down.

Speaker 1:

For fourth, I hooked two into the shirt. Five, I hooked them down low, didn't make a down. Six I hooked one. Seven I hooked two. Eight, I hooked one out of bounds on the 15th, nine, eight missed the burn, ten. I went on 11, 12. I went left and make up and down 13. I hooked, and then went on 14, 14. 13, 14 guys. How, though? Oh yeah, no, I thinned one, then shanked another one, ended up with like a seven, 15, thinned the driver, one just short out of bounds made a par 16, thinned one through 17, hit one low 18,. I three pitted for the five.

Speaker 1:

I honestly think that might be one of the worst rounds of golf I've ever heard. And now go. I had to hook, mate. I was hooking everything, and when the one I was hitting straight, they were going long. I'm not clearly not adjusted to my new length of the tee, but they were good misses. I missed once outright, thanks to John Bevan, which is, if you know where your misses are, you can allow for them. I did, obviously. I didn't allow for them, but I'm on the road. I'm on the road to recover. I really feel like I am. I'm going to ask Liam now because I'm not playing golf, right, liam if your handicap was 20 fucking thousand, or whatever Josh is, yeah, do you honestly think you'd ever come in with less than 20 points?

Speaker 2:

No, you should. You should the minimum points you should be aiming for, especially if your handicap is 30. 30 points is the minimum.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, well, listen, it was the maximum. What do you mean? The maximum points I should be getting, I should be getting. I don't think there's a minimum to mine, because it's very my points average out, because you go very high and then you go very low, do you?

Speaker 2:

know what I'm saying? You never go high. 17 points through 18 holes is quite frankly.

Speaker 1:

I was annoyed at three, put at the last, because I needed to make a part to have a point at all.

Speaker 2:

I mean you can forgive 30 points. Sometimes you know the wind plays a factor or you know it might be raining, it might just be generally tough on the day, and 30 points.

Speaker 1:

It was very tough.

Speaker 2:

It was very tough, but even so, no, no, hang on.

Speaker 1:

He went out in the afternoon when it was sunny and barely any wind.

Speaker 2:

It was still tough in the score in a bit Not 17 points tough mate Right. And in the to give the audience an indication of how it differed between morning and afternoon, the best score in the morning was 32 points. The best score in the afternoon was 42 points, followed by a 38, a couple of 37s and a few 36s.

Speaker 1:

I don't know what you guys expect me to say when I play dog. Do you expect me to come out like the guy is dog at golf at the moment?

Speaker 2:

No, yeah but Josh, no, I, you could, and I honestly mean this. There we go. You could ask me to go out. You could ask me to go out on the course now and say, shoot less than 20 points, but not not ridiculously in terms of like off the first, aiming into the field like just play lazy golf and try and shoot rubbish. There's not a chance that I would be below 20 points.

Speaker 1:

That's why I think that I've got a very special place reserved for me from the golfing gods for when I do get down to scratch. You don't, you don't, I really do, no, you don't. But you, oh, you wind me up, you to do. Sitting there whole either now with your shirt and your stupid time mate and your shocking beard and stupid glasses over there we had air pods on. Neither of you to have got the mentality of younger brothers. You know why either of you to, because I work late and I work in the world that I call reality, so I'm constantly aware of reality in the background. You have no idea.

Speaker 1:

I honestly think that you and I live in two separate worlds. I'm not actually going to tell the listeners about what you done to me last night. I love him, but you and me are on different planets. Yeah, I'm going to mint one, I'm going to class one and you're an absolute no difference. I'm full of losers like Liam and Jack. You and Jack on the same planet, except that he's actually better at golf than you. That's. That's the difference between the two of you.

Speaker 2:

He's just as much of a let down though? Yeah, he is.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but the difference between us all is so obviously. I've had to play a lot of golf and he was a big hitter. So you know me. Josh and Liam carried that name, but Trist seems to have got mums driving like that's my the poll. Got mums tits as well. I don't know if I'm like Jackie got mums car. You're defending yourself because you acted. You hit like a pussy, like one. I'm not even like proud about that, but that's a lie. I hit the ball about 280 yards, 290 yards.

Speaker 2:

No way.

Speaker 1:

Oh, we are. Yeah, thank you. Why are you lying? I don't understand. That's what you should be asking yourself, that. You should be asking yourself that. Why are you lying?

Speaker 2:

I say you probably average about 260 and I'm bigger hitter than you and I probably average like 270.

Speaker 1:

If that, Alright average you got 3 times. You got Jack 280 and me about 3. I don't know what you're rubbing your eyes about. You are? You're left handed for the start? Awful, no one hits it, far apart from the water. Who's left handed? Have we spoke about the time Trist went back to golf going right handed? Yeah, we have. We've already worked in for that you had your opportunity to do that episode, but you shot out of that as well.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm not a shout, you have a shout this season a lot, hasn't he you actually said after we released the first episode, you said to me politely and everything, just, oh, please do you mind, not like talking bad about me on the podcast. Yeah, he did say that.

Speaker 2:

I embrace it.

Speaker 1:

I embrace that. Why did you ask me then to stop chatting shit about you? I didn't ask for you to give me shit. No, you didn't. Josh was there at the time. You were really silking. Maybe you need to get your ears tested, mate.

Speaker 1:

I really would like this to be me and you, jack, versus limbs and Trist, but I'm also a man of truth and substance and I cannot lie. You dare ask us to not give you grief. Yeah, maybe I was having a bad day, a bad golfing day, just general, generally Fair one, mate, that's right. The next Trist, right. Moving on, yeah, I want to touch on the dynamic between Jack and Liam, because you two are the better golfers and me and Josh just get to enjoy this, just get to stir shit and add fuel to the fire.

Speaker 1:

In my genuine opinion, jack, you're not the best golfer. I don't understand where you get that from. It's nothing to your game that is better than your brothers, nothing. I've got my Flare. Yeah, I hit the ball far, I strike the ball crisp. You just say Flare, you fight. Yeah, he's got Flare, son. Yeah, well, flare isn't a golf attribute, mate. I can hit a draw, a hook, a high fade, a high draw, whatever you want, I can do it. He's so good. Man can hit a high draw twice. You cannot. You can hit a hook. A senior do that, especially a driver. But hey, I understand where he's coming from.

Speaker 1:

Jack's got that round in him. He's got that dog in him. I played with seniors. Yeah, golf, is that a bram? Oh my god, I've hit an iron. Yeah, and they jump next to me because they're like Jesus, what was that noise? They've gone and shot. Oh my god. See, now I don't sound as bad, do I? No, you actually don't, to be fair. But I want to slow this down. Right, if he's got that round in him in inverted commas, no one can see me doing that. But if he's got that round in him right, then has he ever done it? That's a great question, jack. Well, I was nine under once going on the 18-2 and I felt bad for Tony Blackwell, so I double bogied it. So you shot a seven under 63. And where is that on your card, mate? No one can see that on Wales golf Best round he's ever had around Bull Bay 72 off whites. Liam, what's your best round off whites?

Speaker 2:

75, I think, flare.

Speaker 1:

Sorry.

Speaker 2:

Sorry, flare.

Speaker 1:

There's his Flare. Do you know what they call me in the golf club, what Rick Rick Flare.

Speaker 2:

Did none of you see that coming then yeah, it's just a fucking terrible joke. I was like beaver, some butt head.

Speaker 1:

I like that thing, I want to be butt head.

Speaker 2:

I can't believe the amount of shite you're both spouting right now.

Speaker 1:

Right, this is your turn to defend it now. Jack said that he's been spouting, there's no point.

Speaker 2:

I've said in one of the earlier episodes that he's got the most potential, but he doesn't put any work in whatsoever and it's reflected in his handicap this season.

Speaker 1:

Liam maybe is still better over it. So we went for a knock on Monday. Hang on, there's only eight holes. I knew you were going to bring them. So the one win you might have against Liam, right, let's just put this into facts. I'll short on that story for you. Jack and Liam went for a round of eight holes the other night. Jack beat him in match play. That's it. That's how the story starts. So it was three and two over eight holes, so average that out. I had to beat him.

Speaker 1:

I had to crush him.

Speaker 2:

Can I just put some context for that? Is there any context? There is. He absolutely beat me, but my mindset going into that because it was a knock midweek my mindset was this is an opportunity for me to work on some elements of my game and his mindset was solely to beat me. So he went out there to play try to play good golf, which in Spouts he did, whereas mine was to progress my game. So whenever you're working on your game or your swing, I think your game does drop because you look to exaggerate uncomfortable feels in your swings and stuff like that. Yeah, I can't say to that.

Speaker 2:

So you know, if you look at mine and Jack's I don't know the statistics, but if you went through the last 10 comps that we've played in Bull Bay, I'd put a lot of money on it that I've beaten him in all of the yeah, I mean you know you're Mr consistent.

Speaker 1:

That's boring. No, I I'm not getting in here.

Speaker 2:

It's not, it's less that I'm Mr consistent, it's I practice when I have to practice and then, on competition day, I play my game. You don't practice at all, you just play your game All the time, and don't. That's a good one. Anything you don't.

Speaker 1:

you don't focus in on certain elements of your swing, or you just I don't know right if Josh and Jack have the basic ability to just hear themselves speak. So you just undermined your whole argument by calling Leon Mr consistent. So you finally again in inverted commas have flair and you got that. You which which? So Rick has that round in him, so you're someone that could potentially be good at golf and it's always it could be whereas you, in this dispute against Liam, have just said he already is and does it most of the time. So you and Leon to me and Jack, I like shop like a shop. When you speak, you speak shop to us. When you go into the shop, you don't want everything in the shop, you'll go to that shop. What, jack? I'm not following on some picking what you need. So we'll pick from your what you tell us, what we want to hear and what we don't want to hear. So most of the time, especially Leon, it's bullshit yeah but you're, no, you're, you're fuck mate.

Speaker 2:

You go into that shop and Izzy's asked you to get ingredients to make a spaghetti carbonara and you walk out with fucking mashed potatoes and Haribo's.

Speaker 1:

Yeah yeah, yeah, bangers are mashed, aren't I it's listen. There's one thing you'll never, ever get nearly on, and that's Jack's mentality, mate what mentality?

Speaker 2:

what the one, that mentality?

Speaker 1:

no, the one you just claimed to say he had, when he rocked up and wanted to beat you and did so, that he handsomely as well but no, he doesn't do it when he when he has to do it, when it counts when do, when I'm saying is when I'm saying is it? Was the what's the competition this weekend, midweek when you go for a knock.

Speaker 2:

Right is not a time for you to sort of get your game face on to beat your brother. It's a time to go right. I've got a competition on Saturday. I'm gonna work on what my weaknesses were from the week before and then try to bring it up to speed come Saturday when it matters.

Speaker 1:

Do you know who you are, jack? No, because you're that guy. Yeah, that celebrates goals in training. Yeah, yeah, right. So yeah, practice your celebrations in it. Listen, yeah, on on. That point nearly on is when you said you've got a practice when it matters. So when to does it matter? Saturdays? I'm yet to see a win from you on a Saturday, so you may as well be passing for nothing. You're winless this season.

Speaker 2:

You've had what one top five look, winning, winning competitions is is different, especially when the majority, the percentage of the membership they're all above. Actually, I'll give you, nurse to 12% of the membership, a single fat figure handicappers all over. So it's it's difficult for a single figure handicapper to win. I have done the order of men. It this season and I was. I was top of the order of men at table.

Speaker 1:

I'm lovin, smoke up your own ass. I made that one before yeah, well, you know you can't back your argument up, can you?

Speaker 2:

yeah, yeah, the facts and I'm washing your argument no, what argument is that?

Speaker 1:

you shitted golf, mate, and then we stand by it. Double jack, yeah, I mean, you're not shit golf. How old am I? Yeah, fresh face mate. 26 in 26 years. I count on one hand and I can't actually recall any, but I'm just assuming. It's happened five times or less where you've backed your own argument up with a relevant point. It's always, it's always been irrelevant argument point where the relevant backing statement as well is just complete and that's a fucking tripe from start to finish. Well, that's your opinion, isn't it? And like I say, me and Jack don't care very much for your names opinion if we had a doubles match tomorrow both mmm scary.

Speaker 2:

Shoot your own age in points, mate. You know they call you the weekend is. That's not calling you the nonce.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's not even my argument to be fair, it's jagged, liam, yeah, but people gonna start calling you who, edwards, josh, liam, my mentality is you know what's the competition this weekend? It's the Haitian cup, yeah, yeah, don't want that. Don't want that. I'm a resume, right, right, we're gonna come, we're gonna revisit this dynamic and I'm just gonna keep putting it up for as long, as long as possible, but we're gonna go to the quiz. Oh, I'm gonna win the quiz. Okay, quiz episode five as we know, josh is undefeated. So, liam, have you been in everyone again? Liam, you, oh, josh, or pines, you know that, right, no, he owes three, because you draw one. Yeah, drew, drew, drew one, yeah, so just do you, do you know that? Yeah?

Speaker 2:

yeah, well, word of it okay, it's like me.

Speaker 1:

No, jack, you are probably gonna have to buy Josh a pint. I'm just saying, okay, okay, question one who was the last American to win the open Joseph beef? No, no, liam, leon 1 0. Where was it? It was in Sunday. Yeah, well, I think it is near San George's yeah 2021 was it.

Speaker 2:

Ham Kent. Oh, that's awful awful, walter.

Speaker 1:

Right next question he call it albatross. What do the Americans call it? Double eagle? Oh yeah, josh, I did, I didn't hear that I didn't hear that was me that was Jack. Actually, I didn't get that, he did get it I said double eagle before the arm. No, you, never.

Speaker 2:

I swear down, we'll look on the we'll let the audio play back.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah because we won't let the audio or the anything do it, because, like I've said many times before, my rules, my game, liam, gets the point. It's too. Now it's an agenda right. Three we have been regular visitors to Scotland's Gulf Coast. Yeah, can you name one of the golf courses on England goes? No, yeah, well done, josh, it's. Actually I forgot what host is called, but it's the stretch from Birkdale, high League, latham, st Ams, hillside, form B, westlanks, while I see in South. But so, josh, you technically live on England's goal Gulf Coast. I do highlight home of the brave. Let's go to clue one. Four in terms of shots, what's the largest lead blown heading into the last round of the open? No, last round of a major. I'll just repeat that. In terms of how many shots, what's the largest lead blown heading into the last round of a major? Seven, eight, right, you're all wrong, so you can all go again. Six, josh is correct.

Speaker 1:

Yes, to 40 touchdown Masters? No, no, do we know him, john Spieth? No, it's all due to golf's biggest decade right now.

Speaker 2:

That's all part of the creed.

Speaker 1:

No, hi everyone, mr. Yeah, actually he is golf big thick, greg Norman. Greg Norman lost to Nick Faldo in the 1996 Masters. Good, one, absolute. I reckon I could beat Nick Faldo with seven shots. He was about in the 17 points probably. Ok, five the trophies, these are trophies Claret Jug, us Open trophy, masters trophy what's the name of the other one? Want to make a trophy? Liam, you had a fucking two point lead and you lost three-two. Jack, does that prove our point that he's an absolute weakly, mentally and intelligently? I know you didn't get any right, but you didn't. We should start calling Liam Apple, ah, crumble.

Speaker 2:

Oh Jesus.

Speaker 1:

You got a shocking manager Right. Fair play, josh. That was impressive to beat. I thought this was the week we were going to lose. No, I don't lose Only on the golf course. Ok, fair play, well done, thank you. All right. So the debate this week is heading into the right of the cup who isn't allowed to play in it and who should or shouldn't be allowed to play in it. So obviously you've got the live dynamic and those who are loyal to the European tours, and then who's going to be part of the wild card picks. So what we think, let's go With the oldest first. Let's make it briefly.

Speaker 1:

No you go first I. So, in terms of who can't play, obviously everyone on the lift tour, isn't it? Yeah, but they could be captain's picks yeah, I'm saying but, but they're exempt from automatic qualification out there. It's the way it works now is three the top three in the European points list, so from a DP World Tour, and then three from the World List, which includes the PGA Tour and majors, etc, I think, and then you get six wild card picks. So my six wild card picks Is that what you're asking for? No, I'm just asking about, like, whether they should or shouldn't be allowed to play in it.

Speaker 1:

So yeah, so it's whether you'd include the likes of Poulter, sergio Stenson, westwood and the Wild Cards On that note. Right, it's more about should live golfers be allowed to represent them? But fuck me, I've got no qualms whatsoever with not seeing Poulter and Garcia and Westwood in the Ryder Cup team. They're way beyond like making that team. People are acting like oh, you know they won't be in the Ryder Cup, so what Christ? Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but they're not good enough to be on the Ryder Cup and then you got the likes of Bruxy who's just won the PGA, and like it's the Ryder Cup for me, is not about the PGA Tour or live golf, or it's about Europe versus the USA, so they should. It should be about the best golfers. If if Rory was on live, then I'd be saying Rory should be playing in the Ryder Cup because he's clearly still one of the world's best. Bruxy, but Sergio Garcia hasn't competed for a while. That's probably what what helped him with his decision to move to live. Ian Poulter, the same. There's nobody from Europe that plays on the live tour. Trying to think that I would consider a big name, no, worthy of playing in the Ryder Cup?

Speaker 1:

No, I've got, you've got. Yeah, no for Europe. I said agreed, oh, they said Patrick Reed, you've got a player that has played and played well, but I don't know why it for me, is that now the Belgian Thomas Peters. No, it wasn't that great. All the top former players on live who are still world level are American, or Cameron Smith, well, exactly.

Speaker 2:

The end got Europe. You've got the likes of bits Patrick, hovland, ram Don Ram. Nobody comes close to them.

Speaker 1:

No, with the American team. That's probably the best team I've seen going into Ryder Cup. They have even that. Well, how many are they allowed from the PGA? Well, how many? How many do they automatically choose from the PGA Tour Six? That's pretty much chosen already, because you can count on one hand. Now you've got JT Spieth, shetha, shetha, shoefully. So those five are definitely going to be Ricky, ricky Fowler now.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Ricky yeah. So you've got Max Homer and all that they're all doing well. So that is going to be such a headache. But, likes a Brooks Capric is going to be there. For certain, dj I'm not sure. I don't know if DJ will be there. I don't know if Phil will be there. To be honest, it depends how Zach Johnson views the whole feud, doesn't it? Yeah?

Speaker 2:

Realistically, sorry, go on.

Speaker 1:

Realistically.

Speaker 2:

Cheers for that mate.

Speaker 1:

This is one of the US openers If you're going to cut across.

Speaker 2:

At least Dina, provide some decent fucking content. Yeah, from. Liv Brooks is the only one that you'd go. Yeah, no.

Speaker 1:

You'd go Brooks. You'd say Bryson's starting to play better. Now he's shot 16th XIV round on the par. Then you've also got Patrick Reed, you've got Patrick Reed and you've also got that guy who's won the Liv event three times His name. I always forget his name, oh he's that manager. Yeah, do you know what I mean? So then you've also got on the PGA tour. You've got Max Homer, patrick Cantley, all these, you've got to throw in Patrick.

Speaker 2:

Cantley's. Patrick Cantley's gone off the boil. I heard from him for a while. I think the American absolutes are Scotty Ricky at the moment. Max Homer yeah, you're probably right. Taylor Gooch, rooks, keppker, and then you've got the outskirts. You've got the likes of JT Keegan Bradley's done decent in recent weeks as any. Tony Fienal.

Speaker 1:

Tony Fienal.

Speaker 2:

Forget about him, don't we Europe I've got a fuck of a squad, you know, because you'll have Rory's gonna be there Tommy Fleetwood starting to come back into some sort of form yeah and Hovland Tyrrell is kind of always there. They're about Rob McIntyre Lowry, matt Fitzpatrick Rambo.

Speaker 1:

They've just not got that. They've just not got that, like everyone in the American team. I think this team that they choose this year will be even stronger than the one next year. The last year sorry, yeah, and that was that was stacked as well. What did you make of the on a separate note here? What did you make of the way Brooks Keppker called out Matthew Wolff? Got loads of time for that. Yeah, see, I love Brooks, I love how outwardly spoken he is, but I don't think that was the sign of a of a team captain, unless unless he's tried to do what we'd all do and take Matthew Wolff aside and tell him.

Speaker 1:

And Matthew Wolff's just been like no can't be asked and he's just called them out on it. I don't know, but I didn't think it was an appropriate way to deal with it?

Speaker 2:

I don't think. I didn't think it was a news reporter.

Speaker 1:

I said there was a journalist who and the live and took a picture of Matthew Wolff on the putting green and said as has been the case for the last say four weeks, matthew Wolff is first out and last in on the practice ground and putting green. That was before Brooks's comments, so he's practicing the mouth. Yeah, yeah, that's what this was saying and I thought that was self-explanatory. But do you want me to go through things slower for you? Yeah, that was last in, mate. I don't know. I love.

Speaker 1:

Brooks, I think calling him out is the best thing to do why?

Speaker 1:

because I just I get this. Matthew Wolff just seems a bit spoiled. How has he gone from being amazing, go on to live, earn all this money and then now he's all of a sudden awful? He's obviously not asked about golf. Yes, so would you want someone like that in your team? You're so wise, you're wise beyond your years, but what I actually?

Speaker 1:

I don't know if I've even got an issue with it, because it kind of you lead your team the way you want to lead your team. People are always gonna have issues with it. But if you introduced a team element to golf, then you are gonna find yourself with people standing out in terms of captain material or not captain material. To be honest, brooks has never, ever struck me as a team player. He said so himself.

Speaker 1:

I think you find the idea that it's pretty strange to be honest with you, and this aspect of what he's done with Matthew Wolff is his way of saying I told you guys, I'm not asked about playing as a team, so like, don't put Matthew Wolff's performance on me because I'm just focusing on myself. Yeah, but then he's got his brother in his team and his brother's they are near enough dead last in the whole individual standings. Yeah, I think his point was that his brother's not got a talent. Matthew Wolff has, like Chase Capacic has never been anyone we know about it is he? It's a bit like you and me and I. Yeah, exactly yeah, I'm just here with a couple, I'm here with three chases lads. Yeah, are you gonna say something that?

Speaker 2:

no, I just I don't know. I don't really know the ins and outs of it, to be honest with you. I just saw that he'd called him out. The only issue I've got really is is whether he could have called him out just between the two of them. Maybe he has and his last resort is to call him out publicly just to try and get some sort of kick out of him. What I don't sort of bit controversial here. But I think Matthew Wolff rebuttal. He's sort of touched upon his mental health and stuff and it's it's a touchy subject, it's a sensitive subject, but I'm sort of someone in work. If I'm under performing, then I expect somebody to call me out on it, because I separate work from any personal issues I have. So I expect to be told the truth by my superiors and you know irrelevant of what's going on in my personal state of mind. So I think that, like, he's right to call him out. It's just a way that he's done.

Speaker 1:

It is, to suppose, question, you don't know, yeah, questionable yeah, but if he's in the form, he's in the form and he does need to get told. But I don't go the way like you say, the way in which it was done, yeah, so that's a good way to end the debate. What I'm gonna do now is I'm gonna go through all three of you. Jack, I wanna make a performance. No, no, I'm gonna rate performance. I think I will leave that to the viewers. I'm gonna ask you for just a brief prediction away gonna finish on the weekend, how many points and where in the table that ends you up. If you need a minute for that, I can come back to you. Don't need a minute? Okay, it's 40 miles per hour gusts. I don't play golf. Hey, I did. I say I was gonna ask you the same thing. No, don't speak.

Speaker 2:

I should do that come on do that for a living. What fucking I know people.

Speaker 1:

So I'd be buzzing with ending over 25 points. Alright, and where's that? Getting the table mid table? So you're aiming for mid table, 25 points? Yeah, nice mate. Well, the mentality monster. I didn't say I was aiming for 25 today. Tristian, I'm gonna let you predict my finish, what your actual plated finishing on the table, or how you gonna score. I'm gonna score both. It doesn't have to be dead on, just you know, made top 10, how many points? Yeah, it's fairly simple, mate. I think you'll score badly and finish low. Okay, well, that's not, they're not. You can't put value to that, is it? Is it? So is it bottom half the table, is it? But is it bottom quarter the table? By the laws of average, yes, or by the law of averages near the top, no, you will score more than 17 points, but lower than 27, okay. So I've just realized that in our, the four of us, your chase kept Kurn Jax Matthew Wolf yeah, no, liam, don't get cocky lad Trist.

Speaker 1:

So where am I going? Just told you your score right slow, so low table. Okay, liam, oh no, no, you're getting give our viewers, our listeners out there, just as you did last week, some words of wisdom encouragement.

Speaker 2:

What so you don't want to my predictions for my game this week? In game, you want words of wisdom.

Speaker 1:

I want a quick prediction, actually, and then I want, and then I want words of wisdom is the main thing you're coming for. Give me, like quick, quick prediction on your golf well, it's a.

Speaker 2:

I've played. I'm playing Harlech Royal St David's. The competition, scratch competition. So where the forecast at the moment is 90% rain with a bit of lightning, I'm 40 mile an hour guests. So I'm not really holding out for much, to be honest with you. I'm just gonna try and enjoy it if at all possible in those conditions we love, we love.

Speaker 2:

A brief, brief exclamation from Liam Doe Trist right, liam, words of wisdom, something you could maybe take on yourself going into that, that treacherous course in Harlech on the weekend my word to wisdom, inspired by Brooks Ketka, not to do what yourself and Jack do on a weekly basis, which is when you quit on your own or give up and stuff like that. That's not competing that's weird.

Speaker 1:

Well, I thought you meant by me and Jack did on a weekly basis was a drink, beer and sleep pussy.

Speaker 2:

That's not what we do. Jack, do you want? You.
